\n“This has nothing to do with Wikipedia or Google,” Encyclopedia Britannica Inc. President Jorge Cauz said. “This has to do with the fact that now Britannica sells its digital products to a large number of people.”<\/p>\n

According to President Mr. Jorge Cauz, 1990 was the top year for printed encyclopedia in which they sold 120,000 sets. After 6 years later the number fell down to 40,000. Sometimes this may be one of the reasons to take such decision and go for digital form.<\/p>\n

Online versions of the encyclopedia now serve more than 100 million people around the world, the company said, and are available on mobile devices. One of the major disadvantage of the online version is it requires a computer or devices with an internet connection.
